Sun.Star Superbalita will again launch Miss Superbalita this month in time for the holding of the 2009 pageant on January 2009. This will be our big bang to signal the yearlong countdown to the celebration of the 15th Superbalita anniversary on October 23, 2009.

The pageant was actually my idea that we started when we celebrated the Cebuano paper's 10th anniversary on October 23, 2003.
The staff then pushed through with the activity in the next four years despite the lack of support of the Sun.Star management.
In 2009 however, expect full support by management. Already, a committee has already been formed to spearhead Miss Superbalita 2009.
